Ray Green began his legal career in Arlington, Texas in 1979, serving as an Assistant City Attorney-City Prosecutor for the city of Arlington from 1979 until 1980. During that year, as the only prosecutor for the city of Arlington, Ray Green tried hundreds of jury and bench trials.

In 1980, Ray moved to Buda, Texas and began his four year employment as an Assistant Criminal District Attorney for Hays County, Texas. Ray's responsibility was the prosecution of felony and misdemanor cases and sucessfully prosecuted cases ranging from murder cases and aggravated felonies to misdemeanor and felony Driving While Intoxicated charges. During his employment with Hays County, Ray again tried numerous jury trials and bench trials.

In mid-1984, Ray Green left the District Attorney's office and opened his own office in San Marcos to exclusively practice criminal defense. Ray feels honored to serve the citizens in Hays County, Caldwell County, Travis County, Comal County, Bastrop County, and Blanco County. And, being a Southwest Texas State alumni, Ray is always honored to consult with Texas State students and offers discounted rates to Texas State students on most matters.

Since Ray has practiced in the Hays County and District Courts in Central Texas for years, many of the employees at the court buildings along with numerous judges and lawyers know Ray and know that all of Ray's clients receive the same professional services, which includes individual attention, expertise, respect and confidentiality. Ray is very proud of the fact he has been entrusted to represent many of the children, friends and relatives of judges, lawyers, elected officials, and court employees since 1984. As these individuals know most of the lawyers that practice in their counties on a day to day basis, it is indeed an honor to have clients referred by them.

In Hays County, with the large number of citizens that are charged with alcohol or drug offenses, Ray Green has devoted special emphasis on the representation of individuals charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Drug Offenses.

In addition, Ray regularly attends legal education update seminars regarding criminal law so he is on the "cutting edge" of all the latest issues that impact clients.
